Description

This apartment is the perfect place to stay if you’ve ever wondered which treasures the Vikings brought back home to Norway. Or if you’ve ever dreamt of standing face to face with an ancient skeleton. You see, this apartment is located nearby the Archaeological Museum in Stavanger (a fun family activity by the way).

The space

Here you’ll find everything you need to have a comfortable stay: a desk, chairs, beds, tables, sofas, lamps and much more. Not to mention a superb location (it’s quiet, yet close to the city centre). And it has a lot of space!

Just like the rest of the apartment, the kitchen was fully renovated in 2022. It’s fully equipped, so feel free to unleash your inner chef and whip up delicious meals (or order in). The apartment has three bedrooms and two baths, and is perfect for kids traveling with their parents. So, if you’re a family looking to catch a glimpse of the past – this apartment might be a winner.

The neighbourhood

Våland is a quiet and charming villa area just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the city centre. Here you’ll find the iconic (according to us, anyways) Vålandstårnet (or “Vålandspipå”). Standing tall with its whopping 84 meters above sea level, this observation tower has been proudly peering over the city since 1895.

Getting around

It’s easy! You’re within walking distance to museums, restaurants, shops, and bars, and at the same time in a quiet neighbourhood. Trains and buses are just a couple of minutes away by foot if you’re heading out of the city centre.

Gorgeous and very clean apartment. Very professional! The apartment was a bit too cold when we first arrived but other than that it was perfect. In close proximity to every possible thing. Highly recommended!

This is an extremely well located and charming house and apartment, centrally located between two of the major hotels downtown and a short walk from the port. I enjoyed our stay.

Really great place not far from the city center, clean, modern, located in a peaceful neighborhood, grocery store nearby, friendly neighbor below said hello when we passed but otherwise never heard them, apartment stocked like a fancy hotel, great views in different directions, only minor downsides were a bit of paint scent (not unexpected with recent renovation) and the stairs could be a bit rough with heavy bags (three flights, two of them spiral stairs) - but overall really an excellent stay.

We had a great time in the apartment. The place is just perfect. It is very clean, comfortable and located very close to the city centre. If you want to visit Stavanger, we would highly recommend this house!
